YSRCP groupism comes to fore in YS Jagan's public meeting in Proddatur

Update: 2021-12-24 13:22 GMT
Groupism within the YSRCP in CM's home turf of Kadapa came to fore on Friday. Two dminent groups in Proddatur resorted to a show of strength right in the presence of Chief Minister and party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. It has become clear that YS Jagan is not taking decisive steps to put his house in order.

As part of his three-day tour of Kadapa district on Christmas eve, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy addressed a public meeting in Proddatur.  All is not well in Proddatur YSRCP with MLA Rachamallu Sivaprasad Reddy and MLC Ramesh Yadav fighting a battle for supremacy. Both the rivals attended Jagan's public meeting. Only MLA Rachamallu, MP AvinashReddy, depucy CM Amjad Basha, district incharge minister Adimulapu Suresh and municipal chairperson Lakshmi Devi were allowed to sit on the dais. Ramesh Yadav was not allowed to sit on the stage due to protocol related issues.

This was celebrated by Rachamallu's fans and supporters with lusty cheers and sloganeering. But, when Jagan's turn came for the speech, he invited Ramesh Yadav and asked him to make a speech. This time, MLC's supporters cheered him loudly and chanted slogans. This has clearly exposed the rampant groupism in the party.

Earlier on Friday, he offered prayers at the Samadhi of YSR and then participated in the religious prayers in the Church in Idupulapaya. In the afternoon, he launched the works of the Aditya Birla Group in the Industrial Park in Pulivendula. He also addressed a public meeting in Proddatur. On December 25, he would offer special prayers on the occasion of Christmas in the Bhakarapuram CSI Church. Later, he would inaugurate the shopping complex set up on the premises of the CSI church. On the afternoon of December 25, he would leave for Tadepalli.
