Biggest Satellite Rights Deal ever

Rajinikanth & Akshay Kumar starrer '2.0' is already being dubbed as the Costliest Film ever made in Indian Cinema. This biggie set yet another record even before its theatrical release.

Reportedly, Zee TV bagged Satellite Rights of '2.0' for a whooping Rs 110 crore. This include the rights of Tamil, Telugu and Hindi versions. It's the biggest price offered for the rights of a single feature film in the history of Indian Film Industry.

People wondered how could Shankar recover an investment of around Rs 400 crore. If Satellite Rights alone fetch Rs 110 crore, Imagine the scale of '2.0' Theatrical Business. Trade Circles expect the theatrical business to be at least Rs 370 crore for Indian Versions (Tamil: Rs 150 crore; Hindi: Rs 130 crore; Telugu: Rs 75 crore, Malayalam: Rs 15 crore). International Versions of '2.0' may fetch additional Rs 100 crore depending on the success of Indian Versions.
