Sankranthi Sentiment + Glam Dose = Jr Anushka’s Big Leap

One of the biggest attention-grabbing heroines from the Sankranthi starrers is Kannada beauty Ashika Ranganath. She’s fondly referred to as Jr Anushka for her screen presence, expressive appeal, and resemblance to senior starlet Anushka Shetty of Baahubali fame.

Hailed as Jr Anushka, this Kannada girl made her debut on Sankranthi festival eve two years ago, through Akkineni Nagarjuna’s Naa Saami Ranga. Though she hasn’t signed any other Telugu film later on, she got dear to Telugu films with her Kannada and Tamil flicks. Now she took the glam dose route, coming for Sankranthi again, with Raviteja’s film Bhartha Mahaseyulaku Wignyapthi.

Going by songs like Bella Bella and recently released folk number Vaammo Vaayyo from the movie directed by Kishore Tirumula, it looks like Ashika has splashed an all-out glamour dose for the film. If the Sankranthi sentiment and glam dose clicks, it will be a big leap for the Kannada starlet in Telugu cinema at a time when young, beautiful, and glamorous heroes have become a rarity.

The trailer of Bhartha Mahaseyulaku Wignyapthi will be released on January 7th, while the songs have already fetched superior attention for the heroines, Askhika Ranganath and Dimple Hayathi.
