It’s not a great story that is needed, but sometimes, rooted emotions, raw performances, and adorable presentation on the silver screen work. Looks like the makers of Santosh Soban’s upcoming film “Couple Friendly” got all these boxes ticked. Here comes the trailer of the movie, and let’s have a look at it.
Directed by Ashwin Chandrasekhar, the story of “Couple Friendly” neatly establishes how Telugu people living in Chennai, who hail from the close district of Chittoor, go through in their lives. While the hero (Santosh Sobhan) lives in a single room, which is in an almost dilapidated condition, he invites the heroine (Manasa Varanasi) as well to live there. And when they fall in love and live their live-in life, the real problem arises. Both Santosh and Manasa are a treat to watch in the trailer.
The Chitthoor accent Telugu, mixed with words of Tamil, and the setup shown in the movie, is a big asset for “Couple Friendly”. Because it not only sounds new, but it’s refreshing to see a different Tamil-Telugu border setup kind of story. At one point, “Couple Friendly” looks like an art film for its finest nuances, at the same time, it plays to the galleries with ample jokes, love moments, and dramatic highs, if the trailer is anything to go by.
The amazing visuals by Dinesh and the impressive melodious background score by Aditya Ravindran are a big asset for the trailer. If the same gets translated to the movie as well, then on Valentine's Day (February 14th), it's going to be an emotional and fun love ride in the theatres. The line, “Don’t know whether love is choice or need, but it is definitely fate,” sums up the trailer perfectly, drawing attention from all the lovers.
Bankrolled by Ajay Kumar Raju, with support from UV Creations, Couple Friendly is hitting cinemas on Feb 14th, 2026.
