Senior producer Ashwini Dutt's journey in the film industry has been filled with a lot of ups and downs. He got many hits and faced many failures as well. He thought of stopping production at one point in time. Especially, 'Shakti' turned out to be a nightmare and his name was not heard for many years in the film industry. With age catching up, many expected him to put an end to film production.

But it is his daughters Priyanka and Swapna who are adamant on bringing back the lost glory to their 'Vyjayanthi Movies' banner. They took charge and made movies according to the tastes of the audiences. They trusted a new director like Nag Ashwin and made 'Evade Subramanyam'. It got a lot of praise and Ashwini Dutt stayed away during the making of this film.

Nag Ashwin made 'Mahanati' which turned out to be a classic in their banner. Priyanka and Swapna made Ashwini Dutt as a proud presenter of this film and they made another classic like 'Sita Ramam' which showcased their taste and boldness in experimenting with interesting stories.

Now, Ashwini Dutt and his daughter are giving 'Kalki 2898 AD' to the audience. It is going to be a memorable experience for Ashwini Dutt and we have seen the kind of business it is doing even before the release. Also, the legendary actors who are a part of this film have given immense respect to the senior producer. Even a man of Amitabh Bachchan's stature touched Ashwini Dutt's feet.

Keeping aside the rights and wrongs, it is the respect that the producer got. Swapna and Priyanka Dutt need to be appreciated for all these. They revived the Vyjayanthi Movies banner which many expected to close after 'Shakti'. Their passion for cinema and drive made everything possible. They have made the costliest film in India till date and Ashwini Dutt is a proud father and a producer.
