Raaka's Oscar Dream Reduced To Tamil Talk
During the course of his speech, the director stated that he will bring an Oscar through Raaka, and that comment is now becoming a huge discussion on social media for a reason.
The other day at a film event for Vijay Sethupathi’s Bathha, director Atlee took part, as he produced the movie and spoke highly about his upcoming film “Raaka”, which features Allu Arjun in the lead. During the course of his speech, the director stated that he will bring an Oscar through Raaka, and that comment is now becoming a huge discussion on social media for a reason.
Apparently, Atlee stated that he will try to bring an Oscar award for Raaka and make Tamil people proud. Well, SS Rajamouli’s RRR also got an Oscar award for Best Song, which is given to MM Keeravani and Chandrabose, but they haven’t spoken a lot about Telugu pride at that moment, but dedicated the award to the whole of India. Atlee saying that Raaka will get an Oscar, that too when Telugu Superstar Allu Arjun is leading the movie, is not going well with a section of society. At least he should have said that he will make the whole country proud.
The moment you say that Raaka’s Oscar will be a Tamil dream, surely that dream gets limited to a few people, and people from other languages might not own the film. Filmmakers should be more careful while giving such rousing speeches because they might fancy a few, but surely hurt many.
