Generally all small heroes are incredibly proactive in the promotional campaign of their films. But now, a director has sat in front of the media and expressed his frustration on a hero for skipping the promotions.
Director and actor Avinash Thiruveedhula recently made strong comments regarding actor Nandu during a press interaction for his upcoming film Vanaveera, which is scheduled for release on January 1.
While the film has been receiving attention for its teaser and trailer, Avinash openly expressed disappointment over the lack of promotional support from certain actors involved in the project.
Speaking candidly, Avinash pointed out that Nandu, who played a key role in the film, did not attend promotional events or share any posts about the movie on social media.
He stressed that this was surprising, especially since Nandu has been actively promoting his other films. Avinash said that when actors accept a project and are paid for their work, it is their responsibility to support the film at least during promotions.
He further explained that small and medium budget films depend heavily on teamwork and collective effort to reach audiences. Unlike big star driven projects, such films need every actor to contribute in order to create visibility. Avinash also spoke about the team’s grassroots promotional plans, including local level promotions, which play a crucial role in building buzz.
Emphasizing professionalism, Avinash said artists should respect the efforts of filmmakers and crews who invest time, money, and trust in a project. As of now, Nandu has not responded to these comments.
