Telugu Item Numbers Helped Her Bag ‘Dhurandhar’ Chance

Popular for her TV stunt, these days, young actress Ayesha Khan is getting popular for her latest viral song, Shararat, from the blockbuster movie “Dhurandhar”.
The song's video, in which she has shaken a leg with another senior TV starlet, Krystle Dsouza, has gone viral on YouTube ever since the video got release, clocking more than 50 million views in 10 days.
Currently, a story is doing the rounds as to how Ayesha bagged this chance in the first place. Though the dance team and the choreographer suggested the happening item-girl Tamannaah for the song, director Aditya Dhar is said to have felt that it would be a stereotypical casting then.
Later, they went through Ayesha Khan’s profile, watched her two Telugu item numbers, one from Vishwaksen’s Gangs of Godavari and the other from Sree Vishnu’s Om Bheem Bhush. Ayesha’s presence in those songs has given confidence to Aditya Dhar, they say, and hence he picked her up.
Inside Dhurandhar, the song Shararat turned out to be a special dance spectacle, while it comes at a moment when the hero is getting married to his lady love. The song’s visualisation, dance steps, and tune have all turned out to be super interesting.
However, Ayesha Khan, being a Mumbai-based actress, grabbing a Bollywood film purely due to her work here in Tollywood, is something that proves the power of Telugu cinema again. That proves the reach and exposure Tollywood can give to anyone.
