Baapu Teaser: Another Promising Telangana Rural Drama

Of late, we have been seeing multiple rural dramas set in Telangana backdrop, which have been working big time at the box office. As it appears, we could be witnessing a new addition to the list in the form of Baapu which has Bramhaji, Amani, and others in the lead roles.

By the looks of it, Baapu is a dark comedy-drama that promises a unique blend of humor and thought-provoking moments. Directed by Daya, who also wrote the story, the film is produced by Raju and CH. Bhanu Prasad Reddy.

Rashmika Mandanna unveiled the film’s teaser today and the plot explores a troubling shift within a family where the survival of its members depends on the sacrifice of one of their own. While the premise is undeniably dark, the film takes a surprising turn by incorporating dark humor, creating an unexpected mix of emotional depth and absurdity.

Apparently, the core plot of the film is inspired by real-life incidents, which adds a layer of authenticity. The presence of such talented actors as Brahmaji, Amani, Sudhakar Reddy, Dhanya Balakrishna, Mani Aegurla, and Avasarala Srinivas adds value.

The love tracks that are shown in the teaser look authentic while the grandfather tracks looks like a fun yet attention grabbing one.

As announced by the makers through the teaser, Baapu will hit the theatres on February 21st. considering the fact that Balagam, which has a similar plot line has worked brilliantly at the box office, it has to be seen if this film can also replicate something similar.
