'Mr Bachchan' Opens On A Decent Role Despite Mixed Talk!
Despite all that, the buzz around the film has managed to bring the audience into theatres on the first day.
Mass Maharaj Ravi Teja and Harish Shankar's 'Mr. Bachchan' opened to mixed talk and there are many complaints on the film. The idea of having premieres on the 14th night fired back at the team according to many. Despite all that, the buzz around the film has managed to bring the audience into theatres on the first day.
The movie collected a worldwide share of 5.26 crores on its first day. It grossed 7.8 crores while the share in AP & Telangana summed up to 4.56 crores. These numbers include collections from premieres too. The rest of India and Karnataka collections were 32 lakhs while it garnered 38 lakhs from the overseas market on the first day.
Coming to AP & Telangana, it collected 2.10 crores from the Nizam area and 73 lakhs from Ceeded region. Uttarandhra region brought 50 lakhs while the collections from East and West Godavari amounted to 46 lakhs. It minted 38 lakhs from Guntur while it got 21 lakhs from Krishna. The collections from Nellore were 18 lakhs.
While these are decent numbers, the mixed talk on the film may work against it. Ravi Teja's energetic avatar, Bhagyashri Borse's glamour, hit songs and decent entertainment are its advantages while the routineness and lack of intensity in the actual story are the biggest complaints. With a big weekend coming up, let us see how much the film earns.
