Severely Low Bookings For Bollywood Biggie 'BMCM'!
But most of them are running on similar lines which are giving a routine feel to the viewers
Not many films have been postponed due to a lack of bookings lately. But the response to Bollywood run-of-the-mill movies is rapidly declining and it is clearly seen in the advance bookings. A lot of Hindi heroes are focusing on high-voltage action-packed films that are being made on huge budgets. But most of them are running on similar lines which are giving a routine feel to the viewers.
The impact is being seen on bookings. Shah Rukh Khan's blockbuster movie 'Pathaan' earned 1000 crores but 'Tiger 3' which was a part of the same universe has a very similar plot. Salman Khan's movie did not get the desired result. Even Hrithik Roshan's 'Fighter' too had the same Pakistan-India action backdrop which is why it was not received well. A lot of these films are about Pakistan terrorist groups and the Indian army's fight against them.
They are repeating the same plot again and again. The upcoming action flick 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' featuring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff in the lead is having a pan-Indian release. It is made on a massive budget and it was supposed to release on 10th April. But the terrible advance bookings are worrying them. Apparently, the makers have decided to postpone the release by a day and release it on Ramzan.
Tiger and Akshay are promoting it heavily and they released a lot of promotional stuff as well. But the audience are not at all showing interesting in watching this film in theatres. We need to see if the advance bookings improve on the festive day or not. Both the heroes need a solid commercial hit as they faced a few flops recently. Ali Abbas Zafar directed it while Manushi Chillar and Alaya Furniturewalla are the female leads.
