Can Akhanda 2 Really Beat OG?

The record for the highest grossing Telugu film of the year 2025 was previously with Sankranthiki Vasthunnam. But this was recently grabbed by Pawan Kalyan as his latest film OG turned out to be the highest grossing film of the year.

However, the discussion is about Akhanda 2. This film is preparing for its release on December 5, and it happens to be one of the better anticipated films from Telugu Cinema in recent years.

The crucial thing for the Balakrishna film here is going to be to emerge as the highest grossing Telugu film of the year. For that, the film will have to collect in the range of ₹300 crore. This is not going to be an easy challenge for the film as a lot, depending on the kind of quality and Content that Boyapati Sreenu and Balakrishna are going to cook.

This film will need major contribution from the Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in order to emerge as the highest grossing film. There will be a lot of debate happening around this film, considering the fact that it is a sequel.
