Popular Writer Duo Back To Writing After Burning Hands

Writers duo Bhanu Bhogavarapu and Nandu Savirigana have made a strong mark with films like Samajavaragamana, Single, Daaku Maharaj, and Nari Nari Naduma Murari in recent times. However, like all those writers whose writing style, especially in comedy, has worked well with audiences, they have turned to directing films for obvious reasons. Even Bhanu made one such attempt with “Mass Jathara” and burned his hands.

Buzz is that instead of continuing in that ‘directing’ direction, Bhanu has quickly shifted focus back to what worked for him. Teaming up with his friend Nandu, the duo is said to be currently working on dialogues for Megastar Chiranjeevi’s upcoming film, directed by KS Bobby. Rather than giving writing dialogues to Kona Venkat and others, this time Bobby has picked up this energetic duo, they say. At the same time, the writer duo are also writing Samajavaragamana 2 featuring Sree Vishnu.

Gone are the days when writers turned directors and completely moved away from writing. Earlier, we have seen the likes of Koratala Siva and Trivikram Srinivas mostly stopped writing for others once they became directors, except for a few close collaborations. But Bhanu-Nandu seems to be taking a different route, as they want to continue both writing and directing. Though Nandu is also trying to sign movies as a director, after Bhanu’s setback, it looks like they want to slow down a bit.
