SRK in Bollywood; Prabhas In Tollywood

Telugu box office is successfully getting back on track. After the release of the movie Kalki, there is hope in distributors and producers that new films would do well and bring money back to distributors. With Prabhas setting the box office on fire, the trade pundits are busy calculating his new records. Now, Prabhas created a record by holding an achievement equal to that of Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan.

Previously, Shah Rukh Khan has become the only actor in India to have two films which grossed over 1000 Cr. SRK achieved this in a short span with the films Pathaan and Jawan. Now, Prabhas joined the club with the films Baahubali and Kalki.

Here is a breakdown on the films that entered the 1000 crore rupees club at the box office. All the following films generated a revenue of over 1000 Cr at the ticket windows in their full run.

Dangal: Rs. 2024 Cr

Baahubali: The Conclusion: Rs. 1810 Cr

RRR: Rs. 1387 Cr

KGF: Chapter 2: Rs. 1250 Cr

Jawan: Rs. 1148 Cr

Pathaan: Rs. 1050 Cr

Kalki 2898 AD: Rs. 1000 Cr (in 14 days and still running)
