Boyapati's Remarks About Thaman Stir Controversy After Skanda's Flop

It's a well-known fact that Balakrishna's movie Akhanda directed by Boyapati was a huge hit, and there's no exaggeration in saying that the film's background music scored by Thaman was one of its standout features. However, the very next movie of Boyapati after Akhanda, titled Skanda, turned out to be a flop.

Meanwhile, Director Boyapati Sreenu isn't in mood to criticize the performance of his latest film Skandha at the box office as he believes that the movie satisfied its target audience and made a lot of money. However, some of his comments about his previous blockbuster Akhanda are upsetting a few fans.

When questioned by the media about the difference between Thaman's music for Skandha and Akhanda, with some feeling that Skandha didn't match up to Thaman's previous work, Boyapati shared some interesting thoughts. The director expressed that Akhanda is a fantastic film and could succeed at the box office even without the background score. This comment has not been well-received by Thaman's fans and other movie enthusiasts who believe that "Akhanda" greatly relies on the Thaman's background music.

Some people are speculating that Boyapati might be feeling insecure about Thaman, and others think he might be repeating a negative pattern he had with Devi Sri Prasad when he commented on the composer at an audio launch, which eventually led to them not working together. It remains to be seen if Thaman and Boyapati's working relationship is heading in a similar direction.
