I Usually Don't Get Unique Roles: Brahmaji
But in this film I played a new character. A lawyer based in Old City.
'Slum Dog Husband' is an entertaining film that is releasing this weekend. Sanjay Rao who made his debut with 'Pitta Katha' is the hero in this flick and this film has a different concept and a high dose of entertainment which are its biggest attractions. It is released by a big company like Reliance Entertainment. Produced by Mic Movies banner, the film is directed by dashing director Puri Jagannath's disciple Dr. AR Sridhar. Produced by Appireddy and Venkat Annapareddy, this film is going to release on July 29.
Brahmaji who played a very crucial role has spoke to the media and revealed some interesting snippets about the movie. He says, "Usually I don't get unique and new roles. Because I have done various roles. But in this film I played a new character. A lawyer based in Old City. A character who speaks a mixture of Urdu and Telugu. I will be seen as a specialist divorce lawyer. Producer Appi Reddy told about this story and concept during the shooting of Mr. Pregnant. He heard about a new director and he asked me to listen his story and give some advice. The concept seemed new and I said good. Then he said do you want to play the role of a lawyer in this. And when asked who is the hero, he said that he has not decided yet. After that he said to ask my son and Sanjay liked the story. That's how we started the movie."
Speaking about the concept, he stated, "Being a dog lover, Sanjay easily connected to the concept. Moreover it is a very new concept. I was shooting Pushpa part 2 the other day. Shooting is going on at night. Bunny saw the trailer and came to me and praised it. He said the trailer is really good. He showed it to whole team. We rarely talk about movies at home. But I don't give any advice about movies. What is the point of making films like everyone else? I would say choose different concepts. That is the better option."
He went onto say, "Saptagiri is my best friend. In this movie, our scenes will be competitive. Saptagiri energy levels are good. The highlight is the appearance of Fish Venkat as a judge. We planned to release it on July 21. But we got fixed on July 29 as most of the movies are releasing at that time. Bro is releasing on July 28. Bro, if they don't get tickets for the movie, they will come to our movie. When RGV heard the story of Slum Dog Husband, he said to give the title as Kukka Mogudu. But the producers said that it would be better if they put it as Slum Dog Husband."
Brahmaji is thankful to everyone who helped him. He says, "Anil Ravipudi is the star director. There is no need for him to promote films with a knife on his neck. But he wrote the script and said let's do that, let's do this. He is really great. Everywhere everyone kept helping me. Pradeep, Ali, Nagarjuna supported everyone. In this way I feel my property is to earn everyone's love."
Talking about his secret to looking young, he said, "I enjoy social media a lot. I don't take it seriously. I try to keep smile always. If you have wrinkles, you will not look young. If you always smile and laugh, you will look young. But now we have to talk only if we are over eighty years old. Until then, everyone is young."
Talking about his upcoming films, Brahmaji stated, "The second part is stronger than the first part of Pushpa. I will be seen next to Fahadh Faasil. He also saw the trailer of this movie and appreciated. He said that this concept can be done in other languages as well. I'm part of Mahesh Babu's Guntur Kaaram, Prabhas Salaar, Balayya's Bhagavanth Kesari, Ooru Peru Bhairavakona, Naga Shaurya next film. There are many like this. I am doing a new character in Prabhas Salar's movie. I will be seen more in the second part."
