Is Buchi Babu Sana Only for Mega Heroes?

Director Buchi Babu Sana has created an interesting pattern with his first two films. His directorial debut was Uppena, which introduced Panja Vaisshnav Tej as a lead actor. The film also featured Krithi Shetty and Vijay Sethupathi. Released in 2021, Uppena became a major success and won the National Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu.

After the success of Uppena, Buchi Babu took a big step with his second film, Peddi. This time, he teamed up with Mega Power Star Ram Charan. The sports action drama was released in June 2026 and marked Buchi Babu's return to direction after a gap of five years.

Now, an interesting buzz is doing the rounds about his third film. Reports suggest that Buchi Babu is preparing a story with Megastar Chiranjeevi in mind. If the project materialises, it would mean that Buchi Babu could once again work with a member of the Mega family.

However, it is important to note that there is no official confirmation yet about a Buchi Babu-Chiranjeevi film. A recent report said that the possibility of the director working with Chiranjeevi is being discussed in Tollywood.

Buchi Babu himself had earlier indicated that he already had a story ready for his next movie but had not decided which actor would play the lead. He also said that if Jr NTR called him, he would immediately go and narrate the story.

At the same time, there has also been speculation about Buchi Babu working with Mahesh Babu. When asked about those rumours at a Peddi success event, the director did not confirm the project and said that the right time would decide everything.

If the Chiranjeevi project happens, however, Buchi Babu's first three directorial films would have a very interesting connection with the Mega family. Uppena with Vaisshnav Tej, Peddi with Ram Charan, and potentially his third film with Chiranjeevi could become a unique chapter in his career.
