All of Tollywood is occupied with discussion about Ibomma Ravi who is currently in police custody. While he faces the legal charges, Tollywood representatives have also slowly started to react on the same.

Producer Bunny Vas addressed the ongoing discussion about whether piracy targets only those movies that raise their ticket prices. He clarified that this belief is not true and does not match real industry patterns.

Every week multiple films hit the screens, but only a few of them actually increase their ticket rates. Even with that, piracy affects every single movie without discrimination. Big films, small films, high-budget projects, and even low-profile releases all appear on piracy sites within hours of their theatrical release.

This shows that piracy is not driven by ticket pricing but by a much larger issue in the digital ecosystem. He explained that blaming ticket rate hikes for the rise in piracy is an easy but incorrect conclusion.

The real problem lies in unauthorized camera recordings inside theaters, fast online uploads, and the increasing demand for free content among certain viewers. These factors ensure that no movie remains untouched by piracy.

Vas emphasized that the industry is already making efforts to curb illegal distribution but stronger laws, better theater surveillance, and public awareness are needed. He urged audiences to understand how piracy damages the film economy and to support movies through legal means rather than relying on leaked versions.
