Can The 'Virataparvam' Director Convince Dhanush?

Dhanush is one star hero who has a huge following across the country. He delivered his first hit in Telugu with 'Sir'. This movie written and directed by Venky Atluri was released in Telugu and Tamil. It was quite successful and Dhanush believed in Venky who delivered two failures like 'Mr Majnu' and 'Rang De' before. As we know, he is working with Sekhar Kammula as well and another Telugu filmmaker has reportedly approached the 'VIP' hero.
He is none other than Venu Udugula who made films like 'Needi Naadi Oke Katha' and 'Virataparvam'. Apparently, he told a line to Dhanush and the star hero asked the director to develop into a full version. People Media Factory is expected to produce this film. Though there are no complaints regarding Venu Udugula's filmmaking qualities, there are doubts regarding his ability to handle commercial elements. His first film dealt with a serious social issue and 'Virataparvam' is a complete Naxalite film that does not cater to wide sections of the audience.
When you are working with a big star like Dhanush, you need to include some mass moments. Despite being a classy film with a strong message, Venky included commercial elements in a smart manner in 'Sir' which worked amazingly. We need to see if Venu Udugula manages to do it or not. Since his movies release in multiple languages, they cater to everyone. He is working on 'Captain Miller' which will release in December. He is also doing the sequel of 'Yuganiki Okkadu'. He will also do his 50th film soon and it will be directed by himself. A lot of producers from Telugu are showing interest in working with Dhanush.
