Actor Chaitanya Jonnalagadda is overwhelmed with the love pouring in for his character Venkanna in Raju Weds Rambai. He shared that the film’s success is exactly what the team expected, and he’s receiving countless messages appreciating his performance. Chaitanya admitted he wasn’t even on social media earlier, but the audience response made him create an account.

He explained that he prepared extensively for Venkanna, working on the costume, look, beard, and body language to create an intimidating presence. Despite acting earlier in films like Bubble Gum and HIT 3, he said those roles didn’t give him the recognition he desired, but Venkanna changed everything.

Chaitanya credited the film’s solid backing ETV Win, Vamsi Nandipati, Bunny Vas, and Venu Udugula for giving him confidence to take up the role. He believes the strong emotional content and relatable character helped Venkanna click with audiences instantly.
