Some stories don’t scream, they just ache quietly. Actor Chatrapathi Sekhar, the man we’ve seen in hits like Student No. 1, Simhadri, Magadheera, Vikramarkudu and RRR, opened up about something very personal this time, his divorce. Usually seen with a cheerful face on screen, Sekhar spoke with raw honesty about the ups and downs that changed him off-screen. Fame and films came his way, but peace didn’t stick around for long.
Talking about it, Sekhar said life between him and his wife just stopped working. “We both lost patience. Every day was turning into arguments, so we thought it’s better to stay apart than keep fighting,” he shared. He didn’t sugarcoat anything. “It was my fault too,” he said, admitting he was lazy, never listened much, and often gave away money to people who never paid him back. He laughed softly, saying he was too soft-hearted to even call and ask for it later.
He also mentioned his bond with Bigg Boss fame Keerthy Bhatt, who played his daughter in Manasichhi Choodu. He said he treated her like his real daughter and even helped her financially once. “I said nothing wrong about her, but after the interview she called me, upset. Still, the money never came back,” he said with a smile that hid a bit of hurt. He also mentioned losing more money than he earned while doing that serial, because he kept giving it away to those who asked for help.
Sekhar married Neelya Bhavani, who appeared in small roles, and they have a son and daughter. But the relationship couldn’t survive the differences. His wife and kids now live in America while he stays here, busy with films and serials. “If Bigg Boss calls me, I’ll leave in two days,” he joked, half serious, half tired. That’s Sekhar, a man who’s been through the rough, still laughing, still moving, still real.
