S*xual Harassment Case Against Manjummel Boys Director

Back in 2024, when the Malayalam film, Manjummel boys turned out to be a superior Hit at the box office with more than ₹300 crores collected from many tinsel towns, the Director Chidambaram was much talked about. However, today basing a complaint by a female actor, the Ernakulam town South Police of Kerala has booked charges of sexual harassment against him, giving a shocker.

According to the reports, Chidambaram has been charged under relevant sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhitha pertaining to outrage of the modesty of women and sexual harassment. A female actor has now filed the case saying that Chidambaram has sexually misbehaved with her at an apartment in Kochi way back in 2022. The police have registered the case after reviewing the details provided by the female actress and then initiated an investigation into the allegations.

Previously Malayalam industry faced a big setback after a prominent actress accused star hero Dilip and seven others of kidnapping her and sexually assaulting her in a moving vehicle. Apart from Dilip, all others are charged by the court. In this sexual harassment case, while the Kerala government has recently appealed against the court order, saying that even Dilip should be booked in the case. We have to see where Chidambaram's case will now lead to.
