Chiranjeevi Joined The ‘Double’ Gang Now?

Of course, acting in a dual role and triple role is not new for Chiranjeevi, as his movies like Jebu Donga, Rowdy Alludu and Mugguru Monagallu have done that decades back itself. But what’s surprising is that, after decades of a gap, he’s doing that again, if reports are to be believed, and that too, at a time when that ‘double’ trend is picking up huge in Tinseltown.

Currently, the likes of Allu Arjun and Yash are doing multiple roles in their upcoming movies. Yash will be seen in the role of a father-son in Toxic, which is hitting cinemas next week. And in Raaka, Allu Arjun will be seen in multiple roles as a scientist, monster and more. Talk is that Prabhas will be seen as an old guy and a young guy in Spirit, like how Ranbir Kapoor did in Animal. Similarly, Ranbir will be seen playing two different characters in Ramayana.

Even Mahesh will be seen as Rudra and Lord Rama in Varanasi, and now, coming to Megastar Chiranjeevi, he’s said to have done a dual role in the “Kaaka” movie, the #Mega158 whose glimpse was released today. Looks like most of the star heroes at the moment are doing such roles, and Chiranjeevi just added spice to the whole recipe.

On the other hand, doing multiple roles in a movie gives scope to the actors to showcase their versatile acting performance, and that’s the reason most do.
