Megastar Chiranjeevi is the No.1 hero of Tollywood by 1989 itself, and his films are doing like anything at the box office. They have fights, dances, dialogues, elevations and the towering, mesmerising presence of Chiranjeevi in the first place. However, fans are upset that they wrote a lot of letters to him for doing ‘4 films’ a year. Well, it’s for doing ‘only four films’ a year.
Yes, fans have written letters to Chiranjeevi saying that he’s not doing enough movies, and then the star hero wrote a letter to his fans through a newspaper. He stated that due to some of his films taking a long time to produce- almost 44 days of shooting- he’s unable to bring out more than 4 films in a year. He felt that movies like Rudranetha are taking a long time to finish and apologised for the same, but assured of delivering quality.
That said, Chiranjeevi also stated that while fans are upset that some of his flop movies are being re-released, some fans felt wrong about it, but then the star hero felt happy about it. He gave an example: if someone looks at their photo from 16 years of age at 25 years of age, they don’t feel bad about it; they feel happy. Similarly, some flop films also give happiness upon re-release.
Well, in the current scenario, while Chiranjeevi, at 71 years of age, is still doing one film a year, young heroes and superstars are doing 1 film every 2-3 years. That’s the sad state of affairs.
