Many expected that the collections would improve only from Wednesday, when the festival of Bhogi kicks in, marking the true start of the Makara Sankranthi holidays. But Megastar did the unthinkable as the film collected a stunning ₹120 crores gross in just two days.
After opening to a nearly $1.8 million collection from Overseas alone, Chiranjeevi’s Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu proved its mettle as the film made ₹85 crores gross by the end of Day 1. Adding more to it, the film has now collected ₹120 crores gross in its two-day run. Chiranjeevi’s terrific acting, laced with loads of comedy timing and Anil Ravipudi’s master craftsmanship in pulling out a simple entertainer, has worked big time.
Now that the real holiday power has started, it looks like Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu will roar into the mighty ₹250-300 crores club easily in its full run.
