Megastar Chiranjeevi and veteran revolutionary personality R Narayana Murthy have made an honest appeal to the government of Andhra Pradesh regarding film awards event and here’s a look into their request.

Veteran Telugu cinema icons Chiranjeevi and R. Narayana Murthy have jointly emphasized the need to revive and strengthen institutional support for the film industry, particularly through the long-pending Nandi Awards.

Their appeal highlights a growing concern within Tollywood that recognition and encouragement from governments play a crucial role in sustaining creative excellence.

Chiranjeevi pointed out that the halted Nandi Awards should be reinstated to honor talent across crafts and to motivate filmmakers, technicians, and artists.

He gave the implication that leaders in Andhra Pradesh, including Pawan Kalyan, N. Chandrababu Naidu, and Cinematography Minister Kandula Durgesh, to take proactive steps in supporting the industry. This was a very much needed prompt and positive approach taken by Chiranjeevi

Echoing similar sentiments, R. Narayana Murthy drew comparisons with Telangana’s leadership under Revanth Reddy, suggesting that Andhra Pradesh should also actively recognize and encourage cinema personalities.

He stressed that the film industry is not just entertainment but a significant cultural and economic force.

Together, their voices reflect a broader demand from within the industry for acknowledgment, policy support, and revival of prestigious awards that celebrate Telugu cinema’s legacy and future.
