“It Is My Responsibility, Not a Burden” – Chiranjeevi at Jason Sanjay’s Sigma Event

Megastar Chiranjeevi attended the pre-release event of Sigma in Hyderabad as the chief guest and spoke warmly about director Jason Sanjay, actor Sundeep Kishan and the entire team. The film marks Jason Sanjay’s directorial debut and stars Sundeep Kishan and Faria Abdullah in the lead roles.

Chiranjeevi said that attending events of young filmmakers does not feel like a burden to him. He explained that he considers it his responsibility to support young talent and encourage them when they bring their films to audiences.

The Megastar said he has a special bond with Sundeep Kishan. He praised Sundeep for his friendly nature and his choice of different films and characters. Chiranjeevi said that Sundeep reminds him of his younger days, when he also wanted to experiment with different kinds of roles instead of being limited to one image.

Chiranjeevi also spoke about Jason Sanjay and his family connection with cinema. He recalled the work of Jason’s grandfather, filmmaker S. A. Chandrasekhar, and said that he had worked with him in the past. He also mentioned that Jason comes from a family with a strong interest in filmmaking.

According to Chiranjeevi, Jason appears to have inherited his interest in writing and direction from his family. He wished that Jason would achieve a strong position as a director with Sigma and continue making films with his own style.

Chiranjeevi also spoke about the film’s title. He said that he initially remembered “Sigma” as a mathematical term. Later, he learned that the word is also used to describe a person who follows his own path and does not simply follow others. He felt that the title suited the film’s young and independent approach.

The actor praised the trailer and said it looked entertaining, energetic and filled with crime elements. He also had a light-hearted interaction with Faria Abdullah and recalled their earlier dance moment on stage.

Chiranjeevi wished the entire Sigma team success and appreciated Lyca Productions and the other producers and distributors involved with the film. He also welcomed the arrival of new talent into the film industry.

Sigma is scheduled to release in Tamil and Telugu on October 2, 2026.
