Made with a budget of ₹2300 crores, Christopher Nolan’s latest movie “The Odyssey” was shot in just 91 days. If we look at Tollywood, many films of Tier 1 and Tier 2 stars that are being made with a budget of ₹ 100- 150 crores and above are being shot for more than 160-200 days. Well, what are the lessons Tollywood is learning from this?

In fact, Tollywood would be shaken up by this, because they are wondering when the likes of Rajamouli and Sukumar are shooting films for more than 200 days, when films with Tier 2 heroes that are costing ₹150 crores and more are also taking 150 days or more to finish, how Nolan will finish shooting this epic in just 91 days. Some say that if Tollywood stops giving super importance to the comfort of heroes on the sets and gives importance to the story and screenplay of films, as well as planning and execution on the sets, surely things will work.

On the other hand, some say that Tollywood should start introspecting more about its work rather than always commenting on the works of others. They say that the inflated self-confidence of filmmakers results in a loss of huge amounts of money, rather than the real creative process. However, “The Odyssey” has truly shaken Tollywood with its shooting days, but not all films are possible to wrap similarly.
