Coincidence Between 'KGF - 1' and 'Salaar - 1'!
History repeated itself after five years as Neel's latest film competed with Shah Rukh's flick once again
Sensational director Prasanth Neel's 'Salaar' and 'KGF – 1' had a coincidence and it is quite interesting. The first chapter of 'KGF' came out on 21st December back in 2018. On the same day, King Khan SRK's 'Zero' was released and flopped badly at the box office. He stayed away from movies for five years. Interestingly, the first 'Aquaman' was released on 21st December 2018 and became a good hit.
History repeated itself after five years as Neel's latest film competed with Shah Rukh's flick once again. 'Dunki' was released on 21st December and much like 'Zero', this film too did not live up to the expectations. But 'Aquaman 2' which came out in theatres this time got a negative talk. As a matter of fact, it is Prasanth Neel's films that emerged as the box-office winners on both occasions. While Yash was the hero five years back, it is Prabhas now. At that time SRK was in flops but he gave two back-to-back 1000 crore films before 'Dunki'. But the film did not get universal applause.
Sources say that the collections of 'Salaar' in certain areas abroad are reportedly more than 'Aquaman 2' which is quite huge. This is definitely a sweet coincidence for Prasanth Neel. 'Salaar' is running successfully with a huge response and it is expected to register massive opening day numbers. With the talk being positive, fans are expecting the movie to create records at the box office. Let us wait and see how big 'Salaar' becomes by the end of its theatrical run.
