Raghu Karumanchi was once a busy artist who did comedic roles in big films as well as small films with equal speed. But he has slowed down in recent times and he is seen very rarely on the screen. In the latest interview, he talked vividly about his life experiences, personal losses and many more interesting things.

He said, “I used to stay in an apartment at Begumpet while I was working in Banjara Hills. VV Vinayak and Surender Reddy too used to stay in the same apartment. We became friends and they liked my sense of humor. They used to say that they would give me chances after becoming directors.”

He added, “As said, Vinayak gave me an offer in 'Aadi' which came in 2001. I worked on that movie without even knowing anything about action. I never went to acting school. I just act according to the character given to me. I don't know how to act properly. Rajeev Kanakala met me during the shooting of 'Aadi' and he showed a lot of admiration towards me. I have huge respect for him and I like him a lot.”

He went on to say, “After 'Adhurs', I quit my job and decided to work in films on a full-fledged manner. At that time, I used to invest in the share market. I had a good knowledge of shares and investments. One day, I went to the shooting without the laptop. Due to unfortunate reasons, the shares collapsed badly on that day. If I had the laptop on that day, I would've done something. I lost crores of money on that day. Everything came to zero after that day and I felt that I should've continued doing the job.” Raghu stated that he faced a lot of ups and downs throughout his career.
