Trailer Talk: Packed With Funky Entertainment

It has been a while since Tollywood last witnessed a proper comedy drama. But putting an end to this wait, upcoming comedy entertainer Pelli Kaani Prasad, starring Sapthagiri in the lead role, is set to hit theaters on March 21st. Directed by Abhilash Reddy Gopidi, the film blends humor with a satirical take on societal expectations surrounding marriage.

The film’s theatrical trailer was launched today, offering a glimpse into its fun-filled narrative.

The story follows Prasad, a 36-year-old bachelor increasingly anxious about finding a bride. While his father reassures him that age brings wisdom—and a higher dowry—Prasad worries that waiting any longer will ruin his chances. Meanwhile, the heroine’s family is looking for a groom who can provide for her and her entire family, along with the promise of a future abroad. The film humorously explores whether fate will unite them.

Sapthagiri shines in the titular role, delivering a performance packed with comedy and emotion. Priyanka Sharma plays a significant role, while Muralidhar Goud, Laxman, and others add to the humor.

Sujatha Siddarth’s cinematography enhances the film’s vibrant atmosphere, and Shekar Chandra’s music complements its lighthearted tone. The editing by Madhu ensures a crisp narrative.

The screenplay and direction by Abhilash Reddy Gopidi promise an engaging experience. Backed by Thama Media Entertainments and Chaganti Cinematic World, the film is produced by K.Y. Babu (Vision Group), Bhanu Prakash Goud, Sukka Venkateshwar Goud, and Vybhav Reddy Mutyala. Sri Venkateswara Creations (SVC), led by Dil Raju, is handling its distribution.
