The eagerly awaited movie Daaku Maharaj by Nandamuri Balakrishna is already causing a stir; in just two days, the theatrical trailer received an incredible 13 million views. It is not just the trailer, though, as the movie's song Dabidi Dabidi, which stars Balakrishna and Bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela, has already topped the video's views and swiftly hit the 13 million milestone. But along with its unexpected rise in popularity, the song has also drawn criticism.
Numerous unfavourable responses have been triggered by the song's energetic moves, particularly those that Balakrishna and Urvashi do. Social media has been used by critics to voice their disgust, especially in regards to the actions and Balakrishna's reputation. Naga Vamsi, the film's producer, replied to the criticism with fervor. "From the filming until the final version, I saw the music at different points in time, and I never thought it was excessive. Why Balayya's reputation as an MLA is being brought up here is beyond me. We wanted to appeal to a wide audience, so we made sure the movie, and particularly the song, had that fashionable mainstream appeal," he said.
Naga Vamsi added that many viewers genuinely adored the song in spite of the criticism. He went on to defend the song's style and energy, saying, "Some people may not have loved it, but those who enjoyed it truly enjoyed it."
Bobby Deol plays the adversary in Daaku Maharaj, which is directed by Bobby Kolli, who is renowned for making blockbuster movies. The movie is one of the most talked-about releases of the year, and its buzz is only getting stronger despite the unfavourable remarks made about the song.
