In a shocking development in the Renukaswamy murder case, the police report has confirmed that the fingerprints of Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa and his close friend Pavithra Gowda were found at the crime scene. The revelation comes as a major blow to the actor's defence, as he and Pavithra have maintained their innocence in the brutal killing of Renukaswamy, a die-hard fan of Darshan.

According to the police investigation, Renukaswamy, a 33-year-old resident of Chitradurga, had allegedly posted derogatory comments about Pavithra Gowda on social media, accusing her of creating a rift between Darshan and his wife, Vijayalakshmi. In retaliation, Darshan, Pavithra, and 15 others are accused of kidnapping Renukaswamy, torturing him to death, and dumping his body in a storm-water drain in Bengaluru.

The discovery of Darshan and Pavithra's fingerprints at the crime scene has strengthened the prosecution's case against the duo. The police have also seized crucial evidence from the homes of the accused, including Darshan's clothes and footwear, which he allegedly wore on the day of the murder. The investigation has also revealed that four individuals who initially confessed to the crime were allegedly promised Rs 20 lakh to cover up Darshan's involvement.

As the case continues to unfold, Darshan and Pavithra remain in judicial custody, with their bail applications pending in court. The murder has sparked outrage across Karnataka, with many calling for a permanent ban on the actor. Vijayalakshmi, Darshan's wife, has written to the police clarifying that Pavithra Gowda is not his wife, as wrongly reported by some media outlets. The case has highlighted the dangers of celebrity worship and the consequences of crossing the line in the digital age.
