Deeksha Seth is a name many film lovers remember from the early 2010s. She entered the film industry without any big dreams of becoming a star. In fact, acting was never part of her life plan. Deeksha grew up in many cities like Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata, Kathmandu, Rajasthan, and Gujarat because of her father’s corporate job. Changing schools and cities became normal for her.
During her college days in Mumbai, Deeksha wanted to study marine archaeology. She was interested in oceans, shipwrecks, and history hidden under water. But life took a very different turn when she was noticed at an NSS event. She was encouraged to take part in the Femina Miss India contest. Deeksha joined the pageant, reached the top ten, and won the Fresh Face title. This opened doors to modeling and films.
Her big break came when director Krish selected her for the Telugu film Vedam. She acted opposite Allu Arjun and played the role of Pooja. The film was well received by critics and audiences. Deeksha’s performance was appreciated, and she won the Best New Face award at the Santosham Film Awards.
After Vedam, she got many offers. Films like Mirapakay with Ravi Teja became commercial hits. She also worked as a lead actress in movies such as Wanted, Nippu, Rebel, and Uu Kodathara? Ulikki Padathara?. Deeksha acted in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Kannada films and shared screen space with top stars like Prabhas, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Vikram.
Her Hindi film Lekar Hum Deewana Dil did not perform well, and gradually she stepped away from mainstream cinema. She later appeared in the web series Saat Kadam but stayed mostly away from films.
In her ten-year acting career, Deeksha worked in ten films as a lead actress. These films together earned around 45 million dollars at the box office. After leaving films, she chose a new path. She completed her MBA from IESE Business School and now works in a senior role at a UK-based gaming company.
