Kalki 2898AD is all set to release on June 27th. On Wednesday June 19, actor Deepika Padukone attended the Kalki 2898 AD event in Mumbai. She looked stunning in a black dress that highlighted her baby bump. During the event Deepika talked about her pregnancy and her role in the film.
Host Rana Daggubati introduced Deepika on stage, joking about her dedication to her character. He said, "You have been pushed into being a method actor." Deepika laughed and replied, "I mean, clearly.”
In this sci-fi movie, Deepika plays a pregnant woman named Sumathi. Rana continued to joke, saying, "I can see you are still in character." Deepika responded with a smile, "The movie took three years to make, so I thought why not stay in character a bit longer?"
Deepika shared her experience of working on the film, saying, "It was an incredible experience, a great learning journey. It was a completely new world and we went through various phases, discovering the essence of the film. It was an incredible experience, both personally and professionally."
Kalki 2898 AD features a star-studded cast, including Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, and Disha Patani. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film is set to release in cinemas on June 27.
