Even though the producer of the film “Devara” has confirmed multiple times to the media that the sequel will take off at the right time, fans found it tough to believe. Though Devara turned out to be that ₹ 700-crore-odd movie at the Box Office, a section of critics has commented that the figures are inflated and put up by the producers. However, going by the happenings in Tollywood right now, it looks like the film’s sequel is shelved long back.

On the eve of Jr NTR’s birthday recently, the only update that came is the glimpse of “Dragon”, directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by Mythri Movie Makers. Apart from that, there is no other announcement that enthralled the fans regarding the actor’s upcoming projects. The other day, it happened to be the birthday of Koratala Siva, the director of Devara, and even on that date, there’s no announcement about Devara 2 or any other such project. Guess what, even the announcement regarding Balakrishna and Koratala Siva’s film also didn’t come out, though many thought it would.

All these happenings are proving a fact that Devara 2 might have been shelved, and that’s the reason there is no single update coming up about the film. Whether it is on Jr NTR’s birthday or Koratala Siva’s birthday, there’s no update about Devara 2, and that’s the reason it appears like a silent shocker to fans that the film is shelved without any second thoughts.

At the same time, Koratala Siva and the banner that produced Devara are now collaborating to produce films with other stars like Vishwaksen and other young heroes.
