'Devara' Taking The 'Kalki' Route For US Prices!
With less than a month left for the release, the bookings in the overseas market have reportedly begun.
After 'Kalki 2898 AD' which arrived at the end of June, 'Devara' featuring NTR and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead roles is the next big pan-Indian release from Tollywood. This intense action saga is hitting the screens on 27th September and the buzz is highly positive on this film. The glimpse and two songs that came out till date got a superb response.
With less than a month left for the release, the bookings in the overseas market have reportedly begun. As per reports, the team of 'Devara' made sure that the ticket prices of Young Tiger's film is almost equal to 'Kalki 2898 AD'. Apparently, the XD version of the film is $30 per ticket and it is on the same level as Prabhas starrer.
This strategy works great as long as the buzz is super high on the film and the US audience are ready to go to the theatres. With the overseas rights sold for a huge price, a hike in ticket rates is mandatory. The movie will perform wonderfully even if the content is just passable as the star power drags the audience into theatres. Sources claim that the movie is going to earn $2 million right on the first day and it is expected to do magical numbers at the box office.
Koratala Siva is the writer and director of the movie. Saif Ali Khan is the villain while Anirudh is the music composer. Srikanth and Shine Tom Chacko are playing important roles in this movie. Kalyan Ram is presenting this movie under 'NTR Arts' while Sudhakar Mikkilineni and Kosaraju Harikrishna are the producers. Sreekar Prasad is the editor. Janhvi Kapoor is the heroine in this flick.
