For some time, it has been strongly heard that director Sukumar is on the hunt for a new composer for his upcoming film, which marks a second-time collaboration with Mega hero Ram Charan. The film was supposed to go on the floors already, but the director is taking time because of Charan’s recovery time after the surgery, and also to find a new composer.

Apparently, Sukumar has worked only with Devi Sri Prasad since his debut film Arya in 2004. The director hasn’t worked with any other music director to date. However, during the finishing of Pushpa 2, there seem to have been some issues that popped up between DSP and Sukumar. Though Sukumar hasn’t expressed any concern then, he roped in the likes of Sam CS and Thaman to wrap the background score of Pushpa 2. There was a tiff between Mythri Movie Makers and DSP as well, which came out directly on the stage.

Now, reports are doing rounds that there is no question of revival of friendship between these director and composer duo. They say that already DSP moved on, working on other projects, including that of his acting debut Yellamma, while Sukumar is holding consultations with Dhurandhar composer Sashwat Sachdev to score for Charan’s movie. Well, that’s quite sad that people break up like this, but then, many talented directors often work with different composers, so it could be seen from that perspective too.
