Dhanush to Play Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam in Titled "Kalam"

At the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, the title poster of an exciting new Indian film was unveiled. Titled Kalam, the movie will feature popular actor Dhanush in the lead role. He will be seen portraying the life of India’s former President and renowned scientist, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.

Directed by Om Raut, who is known for films like Tanhaji and Adipurush, this biopic aims to showcase the inspiring journey of Dr. Kalam, often referred to as “The Missile Man of India.” The film will be jointly produced by Abhishek Agarwal, Anil Sunkara, Bhushan Kumar, and Krishan Kumar under the banners of Abhishek Agarwal Arts and AK Entertainments. It will be presented by Gulshan Kumar, Tej Narayan Agarwal, and T-Series Films.

The title poster, released during the Cannes event, shows a powerful image. It features a silhouette of Dr. Kalam with a missile cutting through it, symbolizing his remarkable contribution to India’s missile and defense programs.

Dhanush, a two-time National Award winner, is known for his strong performances and ability to bring complex characters to life. In Kalam, he will go through a complete transformation to closely resemble Dr. Kalam. His dedication to the role is expected to add depth and realism to the film.
