As is known, Kamal Haasan is set to produce Thalaivar173, a highly anticipated film starring Rajinikanth. With Sundar C stepping away from the project, there’s growing speculation that the director’s chair might go to Dhanush, who is both a respected actor and filmmaker in Tamil cinema

According to Kollywood media reports, Dhanush is now considered the front-runner to direct the movie, and his involvement could be finalized soon.

Despite his busy schedule as an actor with several projects in the pipeline Dhanush is strongly being linked to this prestigious film under his own banner.

His directorial experience includes the recent hit Idli Kadai, which was a success at the Tamil box office. If confirmed, his direction would mark a significant collaboration: Dhanush both directing and working on a film produced by Kamal Haasan featuring Rajinikanth.
