Tamil superstar Dhanush is facing legal trouble after Chennai based production house Thenandal Films sent him a legal notice demanding ₹20 crore as compensation. The dispute is linked to a film titled Naan Rudran, which was officially announced in 2016 but never materialized.

According to Thenandal Films, Dhanush had agreed to play the lead role when the project was launched. The film created considerable buzz at the time, with expectations running high among fans and trade circles.

However, the production reportedly failed to take off as planned. The company now claims that delays and the eventual shelving of the project caused them substantial financial losses.

The production house alleges that Dhanush later chose to focus on directing another film instead of proceeding with Naan Rudran, which led to further complications and stalled progress. As a result, they are seeking ₹20 crore in damages, citing breach of commitment and financial setbacks.
