The upcoming entertainer Summer Holidays is all set for November 6th release for Diwali. It stars Master Rohan Roy, Master Arun and Baby Khushi in the lead roles, alongside Jayasudha, Rajeev Kanakala, Vasuki Anand, Harshavardhan, Harshini Koduru, Ramana Bhargav and Mahesh Chintala in important supporting roles. The film is written and directed by Srikar Nayan G and produced by Dheeraj Mogilineni under the banner of Dheeraj Mogilineni Entertainments.

Talking about the film at the release date press meet, Producer Dheeraj Mogilineni has shared his views on ticket price hikes and the challenges faced by small-budget films in the Telugu film industry. Speaking about the issue, Dheeraj expressed his opinion that the government should not allow ticket price hikes, stating that higher ticket prices do not necessarily benefit smaller films and can create additional challenges for them in securing theatres.

Explaining his concerns, Dheeraj said, “The government should not approve ticket price hikes. When ticket prices are high, theatre owners receive a larger share of the revenue. Because of this, theatres are also reluctant to allot screens to small films, as they look for a higher share.” His comments highlight the difficulties faced by small-budget filmmakers in competing with big-budget productions for screens and theatre space.

Dheeraj further argued that ticket price hikes place an additional financial burden on ordinary moviegoers without necessarily offering any significant benefit to the film industry as a whole. According to him, higher ticket prices can make the theatrical experience less affordable for common audiences, while smaller films continue to struggle for adequate screens and audience reach. He believes that a more balanced approach to ticket pricing could help both moviegoers and small-film producers.

With Summer Holidays gearing up for its theatrical release, Dheeraj’s comments have brought attention to the relationship between ticket pricing, theatre revenue sharing and screen allocation.
