Netflix Clause Behind Dhurandhar’s Lack Of Interviews
While the digital streaming rights of part one are sold for Netflix, the Part 2 rights are with Jio Hotstar now.;
After the trailer of Dhurandhar Part 1 got launched almost 4 months ago, a couple of weeks before the December 5 release of the movie, everyone thought that the makers would aggressively promote the film from there. However, neither Director Aditya Dhar, nor hero Ranveer Singh or any other actor from the film has given any interview or taken part in any media meet to promote the movie. The same trend continued before the release of Dhurandhar: The Revenge (Part 2) also. Even after the film's final part was released, no special promotions were coming from the team.
In case you are wondering, why the makers of a film that collected ₹3000 crores, gross already with the two pots together and made Hughes impact on the people of the country by dividing them into fans and propaganda, accusers, is not promoting the film, he is an interesting insight. Apparently, the film’s BTS will be coming on Netflix only, hence they put up a clause that they should not release any other interviews. So far, except for the trailer launch of Dhurandhar 1, we haven’t seen Aditya Dhar, Ranveer Singh or any other cast and crew talking anywhere about the movie for the same reason.
While the digital streaming rights of part one are sold for Netflix, the Part 2 rights are with Jio Hotstar now. However, news is coming that the behind-the-scenes videos, special interviews, and other footage related to the making of the Dhurandhar series will now be streamed exclusively on Netflix. Reports are coming that the digital streaming company has paid huge bucks to acquire those rights, also. Well, there is no one right now other than Rajamouli who could beat Aditya Dhar’s style of marketing.
