Big Producer's Paid Campaign: Legend Rejected It?
Though the authenticity of this news cannot be verified, many Bollywood handles on Twitter have confirmed the same.
For a film that collected more than ₹1800 crores, not even 1% of Bollywood stars have tweeted about it. That’s about the recent phenomenon, Dhurandhar, which has shaken up the box office from the roots. However, for a film that just has a nepo-kid in the leading lady’s role, whose teaser itself has copied scenes from other movies, the whole of Bollywood has tweeted, wishing them big success. How does that happen?
A big piece of news is doing the rounds that the producers of the movie, which is hitting cinemas next month, have spent a huge amount of money to pay celebrities and influencers such that they would tweet, put an Instagram story, and write about the film on the debut of the teaser. The likes of some star heroes and even some cricketers have tweeted about the movie’s teaser the other day. However, it’s coming out that the production house has even offered more than ₹2.5 crores of remuneration for a legendary cricketer, who recently won the IPL trophy for their team to tweet about the movie, but he’s said to have refused to put up that story on social media.
Though the authenticity of this news cannot be verified, many Bollywood handles on Twitter have confirmed the same. Gone are the days when the audience can be fooled with false promotions. Even though the other day’s teaser is promoted extensively, people have immediately caught that the scene shown in the teaser is a straight lift from a French movie. At the same time, the extensive promotion hasn’t created anything positive about the movie so far, though the film is hitting cinemas next month.
