Did Controversy Help Raj Tarun In Any Way?

Raj Tarun has been in the news a lot lately. The controversy with Lavanya made him the talk of tinsel town. Every update regarding this controversy was closely followed by the public. It was covered a lot on mainstream media and social media was filled with headlines regarding this news.

Though it might not have been easy for Raj Tarun on a personal level, many predicted that his movies would benefit from this. People guessed that his career would get a push as there was a lot of buzz around him. It might have even made his producers a bit happy but none of it helped his films.

His 'Purushottamudu' was released a few days back. The film was made with a decent budget and had top actors like Prakash Raj, Ramya Krishnan, Murali Sharma and others playing key roles. But it failed to attract the audience into theatres despite a decent talk. 'Tiragabadara Saami' came out recently and it went unnoticed as well. With Raj Tarun and Malvi Malhotra playing the lead, experts thought that the ongoing controversy would get good collections for the movie.

Lavanya's issue cropped up because of the closeness between Raj Tarun and Malvi. So, this movie arrived with a lot of talk around it. Neither the content nor the reception of the audience were impressive. There were a lot of negative comments on the movie. The openings were not good at all. Just like Raj Tarun said, his personal life did not affect his films in any manner.
