Dil Raju spoke about the privilege of bringing the prestigious epic to Telugu audiences. He revealed that the 3D visuals he had seen were mind-blowing and said the film’s visual effects rivalled Hollywood standards. “Yash immerses himself in every role and always gives his best. Ranbir Kapoor is a wonderful performer. This is our hat-trick film with Ranbir Kapoor, after Brahmastra and Animal,” he said.
Nitesh Tiwari’s speech stood out for his personal connection with Telugu cinema. Recalling his early experiences as a film enthusiast, the director spoke about watching Nagarjuna’s Siva during his school days. The film introduced him to the power of performances and storytelling beyond the language he knew.
“I had absolutely no idea who those stars were; I had absolutely no idea where that movie came from. I watched it in Hindi and was completely blown away by Nagarjuna, the presence of Amala, and the menace of Raghuvaran,” he recalled.
The experience left him eager to learn more about Ram Gopal Varma and the world of Telugu filmmaking. He also recalled watching Pratibandh, featuring Chiranjeevi, and explained how these films helped shape his belief in the universal language of cinema.
The director continued exploring Telugu cinema as his career progressed, watching films such as Eega and Mahanati, while experiencing Baahubali, Baahubali 2 and RRR in Hindi. For him, the common thread connecting these cinematic experiences was the vision of SS Rajamouli.
