Star producer Dil Raju kept a lot of trust on 'Family Star' but the movie ended up not reaching those expectations. A few fans complained that there was a negative campaign on this film on social media but Dil Raju realised that the collections are not going to be increased due to these claims. The holiday weekend is being utilized more by 'Tillu Square' and 'Manjummel Boys' rather than 'Family Star'.

Dil Raju believed in the film a lot but he needs to be commended for not following the trend. Many filmmakers start printing posters claiming that their film collected this much money and broke those records. A lot of big hero films will have posters with inflated collections in order to show that it became a blockbuster.

A few films got benefitted due to that as well but Dil Raju did not choose to use this strategy. Starting from 5th April to today, the star producer did not release a single poster that mentioned the collections of 'Family Star'. A lot of films that had disastrous results try to paint their picture as a success with bloated numbers. But Dil Raju used public reaction and theatre responses for promotion. The movie needs to collect 45-50 crores to cross the breakeven mark and 'Family Star' is halfway through it and let us see how it performs during the second weekend.
