A video from the scene shows Ramanivas lying on the ground with folded hands, saying, “Baba ke UP mein kabhi nahi aayenge sir” (I will never come to Baba’s UP again, sir). ‘Baba’ appears to refer to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Police recovered a .32 bore pistol, four live cartridges, and four spent shells from him. Ramanivas admitted his involvement and said he had been on the run since the attack.
Earlier, two other shooters, Arun and Ravindra, were killed in an encounter on September 17 in Ghaziabad, with support from Haryana and Delhi police. According to authorities, the attacks on Patani’s house occurred in two stages, Vijay and Nakul opened fire on September 11, followed by Arun and Ravindra on September 12. These incidents caused panic and raised concerns about security for public figures.
The arrests mark a key development in the case, showing the police and STF’s quick response. Ramanivas’ statement reflects fear and regret, while the investigation continues. The incident highlights the risks faced by celebrities and the importance of vigilance to prevent such attacks in the future.
