Then we have Mitra Mandali, which was the first film to release during this Diwali festival season, and it turned out to be a disappointment in terms of reviews and also revenues.;
This Diwali season, multiple films arrived at the Telugu ticket counters, including Mitra Mandali, Dude, Telusu Kada and K Ramp. Now let us have a look at the box office performance of these films.
In terms of openings, Dude proved to be the clear winner as the film could bring a large number of the younger generation of the audience to theatres in big numbers. This is the biggest opener among the new Diwali releases.
Then we have Mitra Mandali, which was the first film to release during this Diwali festival season, and it turned out to be a disappointment in terms of reviews and also revenues. It turned out to be a disappointing venture for producer Bunny Vas.
Siddhu arrived at the ticket counter Telusu Kada and this film primarily catered to the class audience. But the lack of mass appeal clearly showed an impact on this film as it could not bring the audience to theatres in substantial portions, and that is reflecting in their revenues.
The last film to release in this Diwali period is K Ramp and this film could also not generate too many positive reviews from critics. But the mass comedy genre and the mass appeal have clearly started to show an impact as the film is doing pretty well in the mass Centres across the Telugu states.
In terms of revenues, it can be said that Dude is the biggest opener here with substantial collections on the opening day. But this cannot be categorised as a clear winner, as the film is struggling to hold the momentum over the weekend.
The rest of the three films could neither generate big openings nor are they in a position to bring good moolah over the weekend. It needs to be said that this Diwali season could be a rather mixed back for the audience and also the makers of these films.
