The first two parts of the crime suspense, thriller, featuring Mohanlal were iconic blockbusters at the box office. Now the stage is being prepared for the third part of this crime, thriller franchise, and there are significant expectations riding on the same.

It is now being established in principal that the third part of Drishyam is going to generate unprecedented theatrical evaluation in Malayalam and the trade is preparing for the same.

Reportedly, this film is doing the business in the range of ₹350 crore. This includes the OTT and also the theatrical rights of this film, and considering the massive expectations that are depending on the same, this number is perhaps justified.

Considering the fact that this film has a lot of following given on the OTT space, it appears that the leading OTT platforms have competed to pay a high price.

But the point of difference that is going to be established here is that not even a single Malayalam film could even touch ₹300 crore business. So it is going to take a lot of firing at the box office for this film to generate as much revenues and enter the profit zone.

The fact that Drishyam three is doing bigger and better business than the lifetime revenues of almost every single Malayalam film, till date is an indication of the kind of hype that is depending on it.
